::Really cool: an indoor market right next to Tallinn main station. More often than not, train stations and the areas surrounding them tend to be places of transience, and therefore neglected and soulless. The presence of the market next to the station gives this area a sense of place, something I found pleasantly unique here - a real success in urban planning. There is something for everybody at Balti Jama Turg: fresh produce, a supermarket, antiques, as well as a wide array of cafes and restaurants. A must if in Tallinn.
