::A lovely little museum in a historic guild hall that provides an excellent overview of Estonian history, along with some background on the building. This is a great first stop on a trip to Estonia, as it provides ample context to sights in the country. It’s also enjoyable to wonder through and read about the building. A can’t miss for history fans, and strongly recommended for anyone else.

::An unexpectedly quaint museum. A meditative and introspective installation on Estonia's path to becoming Eesti. An easy, but informative examination of the concept of a guild hall. Better than expected exhibits of weapons/firearms and historical coins (the info-graphics on purchasing power were especially useful). About 1.5-2 hours is plenty of time. Paid 4 Euros a piece with the family package.

::Really interesting place, especially the money and weapons presentations. A lot of potted Estonian history explaining the country's rather bumpy path to its current status, with reference to the various occupations over the centuries. The basement gives some insight into the importance of the building over the course of time. A couple of interactive exhibits and a lot of artefacts are definitely worthwhile. Staff is very helpful. Admission price is quite reasonable. Well worth an hour or two.

::Nice little museum. The two collections are worth mentioning: coin collection and firearms display at the basement. Also they have cute little details written on plates here and there about history and day-to-day lives of citizens. All items are well preserved.

::Amazing history to be had! Worth checking out every nook and cranny of the old town!
